"Life is a balance of holding on and letting go."
Rumi

Experiencing how our autonomic nervous system responds to what is happening around us and how we perceive the inner expressions of our bodily systems, is something we can tap into to bring more balance in our lives.

The body seeks coherency, homeostasis, a synchronisation of physiological rhythms. It loves the ebb and flow between the calm of ease and gentle activation, pendulations.

Imagine how your body feels with…

♥ The support you feel when you float in a calm ocean pool
♥ Sitting under your favourite tree watching the branches dance gently in the wind
♥ Listening to your favourite song that lightens your soul
♥ Smelling a scent that brings back cherished memories
♥ The first taste of your favourite food that really nourishes your gut
♥ Feeling the steady rise and fall of each breath
♥ Achieving a PB in your weightlifting class
♥ The morning sun warming your skin or evening moon basking
♥ Sinking your bare feet in the soft green grass or sand if you are a beach lover
♥ Cuddles with your fur-baby that really brings you to the here and now

These are some examples of how using pleasant awareness of body sensations can bring your nervous system into a place of safety. And this is where we start. We discover together how to anchor into this, to show your systems a new experience, a safe and corrective experience.

When we feel safe that is when we can begin to shift into holding less tension, holding less anxiety. Less fight, flight or freeze or submit. Gently we can re-negotiate and relieve the physical, emotional and physiological effects of chronic stress or trauma.
